Know Your Rights Training Session
In response to ongoing immigration raids in our community, our office is joining with local partners to host a Know Your Rights training at Mt. Prospect Public Library.

The session will be led by Partners for Our Community with translation provided by HANA Center. Together, we’ll learn about your rights, the rights of your immigrant neighbors, and how to respond safely if immigration authorities are in your neighborhood.
Our office remains here for you as a resource, advocate, and partner in defending the rights and dignity of all our neighbors. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us anytime for support or with questions.
Mobile DMV Event
Save the date! On Saturday, September 20th, our office will be partnering with the Illinois Secretary of State and other government offices in support of a Mobile DMV event. Be sure to pre-register using the QR code!
Elk Grove Township Property Tax Seminar
Can’t make it to Wednesday’s property tax appeals event? Thursday, September 11th from 5:30-7:30pm, the Cook County Board of Review will be partnering with Elk Grove Township and other local government offices for a property tax appeals event. Be sure to bring your most recent property tax bill, or Property Index Number (PIN). Prior to the event, please scan the QR code to begin filing your appeal.

Back to School Bash - Rolling Meadows Human Services
On Tuesday, August 12th from 4:00-6:00pm, Rolling Meadows Human Services will be hosting their Back to School Bash! Residents of Rolling Meadows who register in advance can acquire free school supplies and free haircuts for boys. Be sure to register before spots fill up!
Shred Event
Save the date! On Saturday, August 9th from 9:30AM-12:00PM, our office will be partnering with Rep. Mary Beth Canty, State Senator Mark Walker, and the Cook County Sheriff’s office for a Shred Event! Bring your old electronics, dead batteries and piles of used paper. Special thanks to D214 for letting us use their space!
Arlington Heights Memorial Library Town Hall
Save the date! On Tuesday, June 24th from 6:00-8:00 PM, our office will be partnering with State Representative Mary Beth Canty and State Senator Mark Walker for a Town Hall, located at Arlington Heights Memorial Library Hendrickson Room, or 500 N Dunton Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. All are welcome to attend as we discuss important legislation and issues impacting our constituents!

District Update: Our office is excited to partner with dozens of local and regional organizations for an upcoming Senior and Veteran Resource Fair on April 12th, 2025, at the Plum Grove Banquet Hall, 4001 Park Dr, Palatine, IL 60067.
